Position Overview: Dietetic and Nutrition Specialist II

This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about enhancing the health and well-being of others through expert nutritional guidance. Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct advanced nutrition services, including evaluating patients' dietary needs, creating specialized therapeutic meal plans, and collaborating on recovery initiatives.
  • Assess and enhance program effectiveness, address concerns, and offer nutritional consultations and referrals.
  • Lead training sessions and ensure adherence to health regulations and standards.
Key Duties:
  • Deliver medical nutrition therapy tailored for psychiatric patients, including the development of individualized care plans and educational resources.
  • Compile and present updates on nutritional data to healthcare leadership.
  • Design intricate therapeutic meal options and provide expert consultations on dietary needs.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure alignment with patient care objectives.
  • Engage with food service operations to approve menu modifications and conduct staff training.
  • Participate in quality audits, performance enhancement initiatives, and policy formulation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • In-depth understanding of nutrition science, food systems management, and dietary practices.
  • Proficient in professional communication, medical nutrition therapy, and the use of relevant technology.
  • Capable of providing counseling and training in nutrition, assessing dietary requirements, and effectively interacting with patients and colleagues.
