Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

The Critical Decision-Making Subject Matter Expert will support the CWMD Chemical Preparedness Program by mapping key decisions made by Incident Commanders during initial incident response events. This will involve outlining decisions that affect course of action selection, team communication, and coordination, as well as developing decision-making assessments for each jurisdiction.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have expertise in naturalistic decision-making science, with experience applying the primed decision model (PMD) to understand responders' decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in naturalistic decision-making science, including application of the primed decision model (PMD)
  • Experience conducting cognitive task analysis and cognitive task mapping to analyze decision-making processes
  • Ability to utilize Cognitive Task Analysis and other research methods to conduct front-end data collection and analysis
  • Strong communication and training skills, with ability to develop scenario-based learning sessions
  • Experience working with first responder personnel, including law enforcement, fire, EMS, and emergency managers
