Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general oversight of the Chief Operations Officer, the Logistics Operations Supervisor is accountable for the management of product sales and ensuring the facility's cleanliness. The effectiveness of the Logistics Operations Supervisor is crucial for the warehouse to achieve its maximum capacity in delivering exceptional products and services to its clientele.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are examples and not exhaustive; additional tasks may be assigned as required. The qualifications for this role are vital for us to reach our highest potential.

  • Oversees receiving, storage, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing policies and procedures related to programs, operations, and personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding warehousing, material handling, and shipping by reviewing existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to regulations; advising management on necessary actions.
  • Protects warehouse operations and assets by establishing and monitoring security protocols and procedures.
  • Manages inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with the data management system.
  • Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new layout designs; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacements.
  • Achieves financial goals by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective measures.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning staff; following up on work outcomes.
  • Develops warehouse personnel by providing training.
  • Enhances staff performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and evaluating job performance.
  • Maintains professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops; reviewing industry publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Contributes to team success by achieving related results as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent, including Home School Certificate.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Team members are frequently exposed to various conditions including weather, exhaust fumes, secondhand smoke, dust, and cleaning chemicals. Team members may be required to perform tasks involving hand-eye coordination, standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, driving, reaching, climbing, and balancing. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must be capable of lifting over 40 pounds safely. A valid driver's license must be maintained at all times.
