JOB OVERVIEW:
The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Restaurant Manager to meet the establishment's objectives regarding customer satisfaction and financial performance.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Ensures customers receive accurate and complete orders within designated service timeframes, adhering to established Customer Service Standards and operational procedures.
- Guarantees the delivery of consistent, high-quality products to customers, following the guidelines outlined in the Little Caesars O.J.T. Guidebook and company policies.
- Maintains a professional image and complies with Little Caesars policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
- Organizes and cleans work areas, ensuring compliance with restaurant image standards and local health regulations.
- Manages cash handling responsibilities and ensures team members adhere to safety and security protocols.
- Provides guidance and constructive feedback to team members, offering coaching and support to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Oversees food, paper, labor, and utility cost management, monitoring shift activities for compliance.
- Completes daily paperwork accurately and neatly, as per the guidelines set forth in the O.J.T. Guidebook and company policies.
- Follows procedures for opening and closing the restaurant, managing unexpected situations professionally and promptly notifying relevant parties.
- Assists the Restaurant Manager with various tasks, including weekly paperwork, staffing, training, marketing, and maintaining restaurant cleanliness.
ROLE CONTEXT:
The Assistant Manager receives guidance and training from the Restaurant Manager and through Little Caesars training materials. During shifts, they motivate and direct team members to perform their tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion according to company procedures. They are dedicated to meeting customer needs and strive to ensure satisfaction with both service and product quality.
The Assistant Manager is instrumental in supporting the Restaurant Manager in driving sales and managing costs through effective use of control tools and processes. They troubleshoot operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This position typically requires a commitment of approximately 30-40 hours per week, involving hands-on management and physical tasks such as lifting, squatting, and prolonged standing.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
- Ability to lift and transport items weighing up to 55 pounds.
- Capability to reach and retrieve items from heights of up to 6 feet and from ground level.
- Proficient in safely operating various kitchen equipment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to follow directions and comprehend product specifications.
- Proficient in processing customer orders accurately.
- Understanding and application of training materials and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to complete required training programs for certification.
- Mathematical skills for calculating sales totals, inventory usage, and employee schedules.
- Supervisory skills to manage and motivate team members effectively.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for banking or delivery tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a restaurant, retail, or customer service role.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Completion of at least 30 days as a crew member, with successful completion of the Assistant Manager training program.
- Recommendation from the restaurant manager and evaluation by the Area Supervisor.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, hardworking, and able to perform under pressure.
- Availability to work approximately 30-40 hours per week and fulfill essential job functions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with auto insurance.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
