As a Product Manager Asset Modeling Expert at Hitachi Energy, you will oversee the entire product life cycle, from roadmap development to launch, maintenance, and releases. You will lead the Asset Modeling product line, which encompasses production cost models and generation/capacity expansion models. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing current products, defining and tracking performance metrics, planning appropriate measures, and making decisions on product and service obsolescence and end-of-life.

You will contribute to the development of new portfolios by leading customer need and value analysis, planning the roadmap to create maximum value, and following up on product and service portfolio performance. You will prioritize new products and service development projects, ensuring the achievement of targets and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Additionally, you will drive the annual business planning process, facilitating agreement between sales demand and supply. You will monitor global sales target fulfillment and act accordingly. You will also initiate and drive product market communication strategy, including product launch planning and implementation.

As a Product Manager Asset Modeling Expert, you will manage different channels to market scenarios in coordination with channel partners and Marketing & Sales to ensure best market coverage. You will ensure technical and commercial support to Sales force for critical or special negotiations.

You will collaborate with internal Marketing and Sales teams to define the marketing plan, including marketing communication activities, training activities, and sales initiatives. You will provide specialist content to marketing materials and identify typical client types and match client needs to our current and planned product features.

Furthermore, you will initiate and drive cross-functional and cross-organization product and solution innovation with other product managers, monitor development of all standards and market trends, and provide inputs to R&D for intellectual property rights protection.

As a Product Manager Asset Modeling Expert, you will coordinate analysis to evaluate market and contribute to marketing plan development. You will meet with customers/prospects and internal stakeholders to determine the product direction necessary to achieve near- and long-term revenue targets.

You will work closely with the Pre-sales/Industry Solution Executives to identify how the company can differentiate over competitors, and to define and validate a roadmap and market requirements that will gain market share.

Finally, you will guide, motivate, and develop indirect subordinates within HR policies. You will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or a related technical area. Postgraduate degree and experience are a plus. 3-5 years of software product management experience are a plus.

Real-world experience or awareness of energy production cost model usage in transmission planning, generation planning, energy trading, or research application and/or experience with Integrated Resource Planning or capacity expansion engines are a plus. Ten years' experience in the energy markets specifically focused on energy data, production cost modeling, and energy market planning are a plus.

Strong collaboration skills working in Agile Scrum environment are required.
