Accounting Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our internal accounting team at Creative Financial Staffing.

This role involves handling AP and AR duties, working with the staff accountant, and running the administrative reception desk. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background and be able to multitask effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter vendor invoices for payment in a timely and accurate manner
  • Verify items/quantities received against purchase order and invoice using a three-way match
  • Answer vendor inquiries and communicate vendor issues internally or to other departments as necessary
  • Prepare check runs and process checks for mailing
  • Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable records on a monthly basis
  • Print or provide all accounts payable reports in a timely and accurate manner and maintain all accounts payable files
  • Prepare and provide account analysis as required
Requirements:
  • 12 years of experience in an accounting position or an associate's degree in accounting/finance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with peers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with current modern computer programs (Microsoft Teams/Slack/Outlook) and their best practices
Compensation:

$54,000 - $58,000
