Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our National Rehabilitation Department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing goal-oriented vocational rehabilitation plans for our Plan Members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative vocational rehabilitation strategies to help Plan Members return to work.
  • Collaborate with Plan Members, stakeholders, and vendors to create effective return-to-work solutions.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery of rehabilitation services.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with Plan Members, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and quality service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Related university degree in a field such as Health Sciences, Psychology, Counseling, or Nursing.
  • Accreditation or certification in vocational rehabilitation or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in vocational rehabilitation or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation industry standards, disability insurance, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
