About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team at the Vascular Biology Center. The successful candidate will assist in phenotypic analyses of mouse mutants, mouse surgery, and isolation of endothelial and vascular cells from mice.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain mouse colony through selective breeding and culling
  • Perform mouse surgery related to cardiovascular diseases
  • Amplify plasmids and adenoviruses
  • Analyze tissues using histological and immunofluorescence staining
  • Update database with daily entries
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related field, and two years of experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory settings. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with five years of research and/or clinical experience, including previous supervisory experience, is also acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

Research background in cell culture, histology, molecular biology, and animal surgery experience is highly desirable.
