About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Physiology at Augusta University. As a Research Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the research activities of our laboratory, including coordinating research protocols, managing laboratory resources, and providing technical oversight to trainees and research staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate research activities in the laboratory, including ensuring research protocols are followed and met, and safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Manage laboratory resources, including animal models and equipment, and maintain accurate records related to their use.
  • Provide technical oversight to trainees and research staff, including instruction on research techniques and coordination of administrative and technical arrangements.
  • Process data, present findings, and assist the Principal Investigator (PI) with current and future research applications and programs of study.
  • Coordinate administrative and technical arrangements of animal models and maintain records related to their use.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or cell biology, and experience in research, basic science, or clinical laboratory settings. Previous supervisory experience is also highly desirable.
