Phlebotomy Training Coordinator Job Summary

At Emerson Health, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Training Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for training new phlebotomists in proper lab protocol and procedure, maintaining the training manual, and communicating changes to all phlebotomists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new phlebotomists in lab protocol and procedure
  • Maintain the training manual and communicate changes to phlebotomists
  • Assist in handling daily operational issues and scheduling
  • Work with phlebotomy trainers, CP coordinators, and laboratory supervisors to ensure successful training

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of a phlebotomy training course preferred
  • Two or more years of phlebotomy experience
  • Previous training or teaching experience preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred

Skills:

  • Effective teaching and instruction skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Computer skills required
