Job Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies in the U.S. Marine Corps. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities
  • Aid in the direction of a team of IT professionals located throughout the installation to ensure system and application availability 24/7.
  • Provide project management feedback on a data center requirement for IT applications development projects.
  • Develop and maintain operations policies and procedures and information record keeping for IT audits.
  • Manage the operations, utilizing ITSM frameworks, of all IT activities abroad the installation.
Requirements
  • GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized Experience
  • GS-12: Serving as technical expert for one or more complete systems, modules, applications, or equivalent (e.g., data storage, software applications, networking); developing functional requirements and specifications for systems that meet business requirements; carrying out IT design studies to determine feasibility of requirements and design alternatives and to develop and/or modify critical portions of functional analysis documents; providing advice and assistance to customers while troubleshooting complex system problems, minimizing interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities; applying knowledge of Functional Business Processes in a Systems, Applications, and Products.
  • GS-11: Applying IT knowledge of capabilities and limitations of software and hardware to analyze system design and programming techniques; applying IT principles and practices sufficient to discuss and/or assess issues to ensure resolution; managing IT program in at least one functional area to overall business planning and progress technology and systems forward.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify based on education as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
