Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at ITCO Solutions, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop computers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to desktop hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
  • Establish and maintain desktop users, user environment, directories, and security.
  • Work with clients to provide them with desktop computer services such as technical support and project implementation.
  • Train users on software and equipment usage.
  • Respond to client needs and questions concerning their access to resources on the desktop, and the operation of various software programs.
  • Develop and communicate standards for use, operations, and security of desktop, personal computers, and data.
  • Communicate with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware and operations problems.
  • Consult with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Research and evaluates new technologies.
  • Installs and tests software upgrades.
  • Collects and analyzes desktop and memory utilization.
  • Develops and implements disaster recovery procedures.
  • Assures timely preparation of client emails as directed by Marketing
  • Assures accurate and timely maintenance of Intra/Extranet websites
  • Assures Backup critical files
  • Assures the maintenance /repair/replace defective PC's and/or accessories
  • Maintains records in CRM system for client inventory and configurations
  • Provides billing records and time management
  • Uses products to monitor and report client desktop (WAN and LAN) activity
  • Troubleshoot desktop problems
  • PC Helpdesk support
  • Implement company security/licensing policies
  • Monitors performance or programs after implementation
  • Programs clients internal and external client IP phones, systems and routers

Education:

B.S. in a computer-related field or equivalent certificate is preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
