Job Description:
At OEC Group, we are seeking a skilled Freight Forwarding Sales Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for executing full sales lifecycle processes from pre-work to detailed discovery conversations and informative meetings. Your primary goal will be to identify the needs of prospective clients and perform as a trusted advisor for their forwarding needs.
Responsibilities:
Seek out new clients and establish a book of business through prospecting and networking
Present OEC Group's service offers: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage
Meet monthly revenue quotas given by Sales management
Collaborate with CRM Specialists to create sales presence in local market
Maintain communication with internal teams as well as overseas offices
Travel locally for client meetings and presentations
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year's experience in a freight forwarding role is required
Previous experience directly selling ocean and/or air services is preferred
Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit; team player; problem solver
High emotional intelligence and communication skills
Professional email and phone etiquette
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
