Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager - Public Sector to join our team at Vets Hired. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing a dynamic territory strategy, and building strong relationships with public sector customers.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy that meets quarterly sales quota targets
- Prepare and deliver presentations to public sector customers to showcase our wireless networking, IoT, LTE, and security solutions
- Utilize CRM to track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline development
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and ensure customer expectations are met
- Collaborate with internal teams, including support, service, and management resources, to provide exceptional customer service
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategy
- Travel to tradeshows, events, and channel and carrier networking sessions to build relationships and expand our reach
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree supported by 8+ years of full-time technical and/or carrier sales experience in the public sector arena
- Demonstrated success in sales in the public sector arena, with a strong customer portfolio
- Experience with procurement vehicles/contracts specific to the State of California
- Relevant strong experience and knowledge in the wireless networking, IoT, LTE, and security space
- Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability, and a proven track record of consistent achievement in prior roles
- Expertise in implementing and successfully driving a channel sales model
- Highly competitive, entrepreneurial individual with a desire to tackle challenging opportunities
- A passion for winning, strong business strategy skills, and excellent collaboration skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, strong negotiation and leadership skills, and decisive problem-solving ability
- Ability to deliver a clear and compelling value proposition to customers/partners, and demonstrated ability to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Must currently reside in Southern California, preferably San Diego County, and have recent experience working with public sector customers within the defined territory
