Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Loews Hotel & Resorts. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining optimal kitchen staffing levels to ensure seamless operation of our restaurants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and ensure adherence to departmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, ensuring cost-effective production and high-quality food service.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement menu concepts, recipes, and presentation styles.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and storage to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure consistent quality and freshness of ingredients.
  • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing kitchen staff and operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
