The Senior Sous Chef is responsible for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations
- Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses to meet budgetary requirements
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to plan and execute special events and menu promotions
- Provide exceptional guest service and ensure that all guests receive a high-quality dining experience
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff
- Monitor and evaluate kitchen performance, and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff
- Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, recipe development, and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
