About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our nuclear energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform state-of-the-art calculations and validation experiments to maintain and improve safety within the nuclear industry.
  • Conduct engineering analyses related to nuclear safety, fluid flow, probability risk assessment, and severe accident analysis.
  • Prepare and review documentation supporting evaluations and analyses.
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and internal functional groups to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Develop skills necessary to assume more independent assignments and support business strategic initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in processes and assist in implementation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics).
  • Prior Nuclear Industry experience preferred.
  • Prior Westinghouse Internship experience preferred.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience. New Grads encouraged to apply.
  • Coding skills in MathCAD, C++, Fortran, Visual Basic, or other relevant programming languages.
