Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider III

Alamance County, NC is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider III to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading clinical teams, and contributing to the development of healthcare policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in various clinical settings, including maternal health, women's health, child health, and sexually transmitted disease clinics.
  • Lead and manage clinical teams, including APP II practitioners, to ensure seamless patient care and effective team dynamics.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with medical directors, nursing directors, and other healthcare professionals to advance healthcare initiatives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote healthcare services and improve patient access.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a Physician Assistant program approved by the N.C. Board of Medical Examiners and approved to practice medical acts based on education and experience by the Board of Medical Examiners, and minimum 2 years of experience as a PA; or licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Board of Nursing, graduation from a Family or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife program approved by the N.C. Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and approved to practice medical acts based on education and experience by the Joint Subcommittee, and a minimum of two years of experience as a NP; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the North Carolina Medical Board or approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board and two years of experience as an APP; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • More than 5 years of APP practice
  • Centering Pregnancy--Centering Pregnancy experience, Centering Pregnancy Basic Facilitation training
  • Bilingual/Fluent in both Spanish and English both oral and written.
  • Ability to independently perform Nexplanon and IUD insertions/removal and train/precept others
  • Training or experience in leadership, team building, team dynamics
  • Training in giving feedback
  • Ability to work in all clinical areas at ACHD (including Child Health),
  • Experience with Epic EMR
  • Training and experience identifying and implementing best clinical practice strategies.
  • Experience with policy development and implementation.
