Rate Range: Up to $65/hr, dependent on experience

Position Overview:

Apex Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Project Manager/Civil Engineering Subject Matter Expert who is enthusiastic about renewable energy initiatives. This role involves significant engagement with battery projects throughout their lifecycle, from design to implementation, while collaborating with various cross-functional teams within the organization. You will join a growing team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional insights and analyses, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and prioritize a diverse range of programs and projects.
  • Assess complex technical and administrative methodologies, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of professionals and contractors.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in relevant codes and regulations pertaining to civil design and permitting.
  • Review and provide feedback on hydrology studies, geotechnical reports, civil design packages, and compliance documents.
  • Develop project-specific scopes for the Engineer of Record.
  • Ensure adherence to local and national codes for civil design.
  • Apply sound engineering principles across a variety of assignments.
  • Innovate and devise cost-effective solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively within and across different business units.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations, both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural) is required.
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in utility-level power generation or a related industrial field.
  • Experience in project management and/or personnel supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented team player, comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong follow-up abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple detail-oriented tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
