  • Articulate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and provide clear guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Utilize complex financial models to analyze tax implications and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Manage business processes, set priorities, and measurable objectives, and contribute to process and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance the organization's capabilities through effective team building and training, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field; Master's Degree in Taxation and/or CPA certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive tax experience, with a strong understanding of depreciation, multi-tiered partnership structures, and partnership special allocations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions.
  • Proficiency with software applications and prior experience in relevant industries.

Job Overview:

Employees in this position are responsible for tax research, planning, analysis, and defense of tax positions, with a focus on driving business growth and optimizing tax strategies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax-related projects, including system maintenance and development, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, work papers, and files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Research tax laws and regulations, and present proposals to minimize tax liability and optimize tax strategies.
  • Respond to inquiries from government agencies regarding tax filings and claims, and provide clear guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Provide tax assumptions and results in project models, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.
  • Lead project teams to improve quality, efficiency, and transparency, and contribute to process and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, and contribute to the development of the organization's tax function.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; 6+ years of experience in tax compliance and planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in Accounting/Finance; CPA certification, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
