Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing assigned projects, ensuring they are completed in accordance with company requirements, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, hiring, training, managing, supervising, promoting, disciplining, and discharging project-related staff as needed.
  • Effectively managing human resource issues and escalating as necessary in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Completing performance ratings, promotions, and pay changes for project-related employees.
  • Providing guidance and mentoring to meet customer and company goals and objectives.
  • Managing workload distribution and monitoring customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Planning, managing, monitoring, and maintaining project profitability to achieve company goals.
  • Reviewing job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including the preparation of invoices, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting to customers and management.
  • Managing related quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participating in and/or facilitating the bid process.
  • Acting as the company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
  • Creating, developing, and implementing account process improvements.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional, and able to lead others to create, develop, and implement project process improvements. They must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners. The candidate should have proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral presentations. They must also have the ability to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.

The Security Systems Project Manager must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed and have the ability to learn company and customer project management systems.
