Key Responsibilities


Under the supervision of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II is tasked with executing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as prescribed by the physician.

The focus will be on the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, tailored to the specific needs of diverse patient populations.

In the absence of supervisory personnel, the individual may be designated as Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner, overseeing departmental responsibilities during their shift.


Qualifications


To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire, with maintenance of certification thereafter.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner is preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 days of hire, with ongoing maintenance.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 60 days of hire, with ongoing maintenance.
  • An Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
