Job Title: Chief Medical Officer

Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine, Inc. (TAPM) is a Federally Qualified Health Center in Guilford County, North Carolina, with six locations seeking a Chief Medical Officer to lead our clinical team.

Job Summary:

The Chief Medical Officer will be responsible for clinical compliance, staffing, and clinical performance standards. This role will serve as the organization's point person on medical and clinical issues, providing professional medical services and overseeing the clinical quality team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and oversee all daily aspects of clinical and quality functions
  • Establish, monitor, and improve standards of care through performance benchmarks and goals
  • Develop and recommend strategies to enhance clinical performance, effectiveness, efficiencies, productivity, and compliance
  • Manage a 25-member provider team, including MDs, NPs, PAs, LCSWs, and others
  • Oversee in conjunction with the CEO other departments linked to clinical functions, such as Behavioral Health, Care Coordination, Nutrition, and Nursing
  • Provide direct oversight for the clinical quality team and work with the Quality Director to reach quality goals and increase performance measures and outcomes
  • Oversee peer-review program, provider productivity, and coding
  • Develop, manage, and implement clinical policies and protocols for patient care
  • Ensure clinical compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for providers
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and oversee physician specialty clinics
  • Facilitate provider meetings and trainings on a monthly basis
  • Provide mentorship to new providers
  • Provide direct patient care at least two full days per week with 3 days of administrative and supervision time
  • Work closely with area hospitals and agencies to facilitate care coordination and linkage for continuum of care
  • Provide a thorough orientation program for new providers and clinical and quality team members
Requirements:
  • Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
  • Board certification in a chosen primary care specialty, such as Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the State of North Carolina
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two to four years of leadership experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting
  • Experience treating and managing care for a culturally diverse population
  • Broad knowledge and/or experience with Federal regulations related to the operation of a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
