Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate Early Intervention Specialist to join our clinical team at Stars Bay Area, Inc. to provide play-based therapy to children ranging from birth to 6 years old. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide services in the child's natural environment (in families' homes or other community settings).
- Collaborate closely with parents/guardians to enhance skill acquisition in key areas of childhood development using play therapy techniques.
- Develops and implements weekly lesson plans that enhance children's growth and resiliency.
- Work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
- Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
- Update reports in the database.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with developmental delays, learning disabilities, or behavior disorders.
- Experience in child development, behavioral therapy, early childhood education, infant teaching, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfortable thinking outside the box, adapting to a changing environment, and maintaining professionalism with the families.
- Bilingual (HIGHLY PREFERRED).
- Previous job roles such as Behavior Technicians (BTs), Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs), or even ABA Therapists are a plus.
