Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist II to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Roanoke, VA. As a Phlebotomist II, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Administer oral solutions according to established procedures.
  • Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
  • Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones.
  • Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
Requirements
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
