Rural Health Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant to support our clinical team at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

This role will work Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm, facilitating services aimed at enhancing patient-centered care and maximizing outcomes across the patient care continuum.

The successful candidate will be responsible for patient advocacy, monitoring patient care to ensure progress toward desired outcomes, addressing patient and family needs, resolving obstacles to effective care, and planning for patient treatment and follow-up care.

Requirements include a Certified MA or active North Carolina LPN or RN license. CNA applicants or MAs who are not yet certified will not be considered.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the Rural Health Group Core Competencies, including Good Judgment, Communication/Customer Service/Teamwork, Passion, Honesty, Responsibility, and Job-Specific Skill Set.

Preferred clinical skills/experience include Phlebotomy, Equipment usage (EKG, clinitek, Hemoglobin), Good documentation skills, Tracking and maintaining medical data, Immunization (adult and pediatric), Injections, IV therapy, and Strong understanding of disease management for providing patient education at the direction of provider.

Outpatient physician office experience is strongly preferred, as is an active North Carolina LPN or RN license, or MA Certification/Registration. Excellent organizational, telephone and communication skills are also required.

The successful candidate will be able to juggle multiple priorities and work efficiently in a potentially stressful environment, applying good judgment while carrying out responsibilities.

Pleasant, professional approach and ability to work well with the public and provide excellent internal and external customer service are essential.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of modern office equipment and Microsoft Office software programs, as well as basic computer skills and the ability to quickly learn to use eClinicalWorks electronic health record system.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
