About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SBA Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team at Old National Bank. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for supporting the entire SBA loan portfolio and working closely with internal and external partners throughout the post-closing loan lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with clients, the SBA, and internal teams to prepare and review SBA loan servicing requests, ongoing servicing requirements, and modification requests.
  • Guide the Relationship Manager and client through the SBA servicing process through effective communication and facilitation.
  • Work with the Operations team to ensure client compliance with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) on servicing actions.
  • Assess credit risk pertaining to requests for new or renewals of existing loans to new or existing customers, primarily through the analysis of financial statements, credit history, and collateral documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date on SOP changes and maintain proficiency in SBA SOP requirements and Bank policies.
  • Maintain productive and effective relationships with the SBA Operations Team, other Bank lines of business, and support groups.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred – HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3+ years commercial loan processing or related experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in SBA lending.
  • Advanced Knowledge of SBA 7a guaranteed, 504, and Express loan program requirements.
  • Exemplary communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle information gathering for multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, in a fast-paced, high-production professional environment exhibiting strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to read the audience and engage appropriately.
  • Methodical thinker and well-organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Client-focused aptitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a close team environment.
