Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Driscoll Children's Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and assisting cardiologists with cardiac ultrasound procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist cardiologists with all echocardiograms, including 2-D, M-Mode, TEE, and Fetal.
- Prepare accurate preliminary echocardiogram reports for cardiologists.
- Ensure adequate levels of supplies and maintain equipment in good working order.
- Communicate effectively with departmental and hospital personnel.
- Assist cardiologists as needed and participate in departmental and hospital-wide process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with generic and unit safety measures.
- Travel to out-of-town clinics and rotate 24-hour on-call duties.
- Registry in Sonography (ARDMS or RCVT) or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Registered Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI) or registry eligible.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
