Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Specialist to join our team at Arctic Slope Native Association.
Job SummaryThe Respiratory Care Specialist will provide high-quality respiratory care services to patients in a variety of settings, including critical care and acute care units. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop effective treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders.
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and other respiratory treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities, including test results and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred; two years of respiratory care experience required.
- Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
- Experience working in an acute care setting and knowledge of mechanical ventilation and oxygen support systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
