Firefighter/EMT Professional

A critical role within the Borough of North Slope AK's emergency response team is that of the Firefighter/EMT, responsible for responding to emergencies and performing duties related to fire suppression, rescue, and emergency care during ground ambulance transport.

This individual must be able to work effectively in high-stress situations and possess a strong foundation in firefighting techniques, medical procedures, and emergency response protocols.

• Respond to emergency calls and perform duties as assigned
• Operate firefighting equipment, including pumps and hoses
• Provide emergency medical care, including CPR and first aid
• Assist with departmental training and professional development

• FIRE FIGHTER, EMT Certification
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year.
