Key Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in representing SFO and the Managing Director's Office during assigned shifts. The primary responsibilities include:

General Duties:

  • Responding to emergencies and assisting in mitigation efforts as required.
  • Ensuring quality control standards for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety within terminal and ramp operations.
  • Attending key stakeholder meetings on behalf of SFO and the Managing Director as necessary.
  • Preparing daily shift reports for submission to senior management, airlines, and the airport community, along with weekly and monthly performance dashboards.
  • Executing additional tasks as directed by senior management and the executive committee.

Terminal Operations:

  • Overseeing all systems and equipment managed by SFO, including check-in counters, baggage handling systems, and passenger loading bridges.
  • Monitoring the operational performance of all equipment maintained by SFO.
  • Coordinating with airlines, airport authorities, TSA, CBP, vendors, and contractors to ensure optimal service levels.
  • Managing passenger flows at key locations such as check-in aisles and security checkpoints.
  • Evaluating and recommending policies and practices to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborating with ramp coordination to support airlines and ground handlers, ensuring efficient aircraft turnaround processes.

Ramp Coordination:

  • Proactively overseeing gate operations at the ramp level to ensure timely and safe execution of duties by airlines and ground handlers.
  • Assisting airlines and vendors as needed to maintain efficient aircraft turnaround processes.
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to enhance ramp safety and operational efficiency.
  • Liaising with ramp control to report any operational issues affecting flight departures.
  • Working closely with safety teams to address emergencies and safety concerns related to aircraft operations.
  • Maintaining quality control standards for ramp operations through the use of technology and electronic devices.

Qualifications:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years in airline or airport operations.

Licenses/Certifications:
