Job Title: High-Profile Events Project Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced project manager to oversee the planning, execution, and promotion of high-profile events commemorating the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning and Management: Lead the planning and execution of multiple high-profile events, including ceremonies, parades, receptions, and public outreach programs.
  • Coordination and Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the Marine Corps and external stakeholders, including media, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Communication and Media Relations: Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, event invitations, and promotional materials to enhance public awareness and engagement.
  • Content Creation: Write speeches, talking points, and other communication materials for senior Marine Corps officials and speakers at events.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead event planning staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support throughout the planning and execution phases.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs, multi-state event management, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing high-profile events.
  • Clearance: Must hold current and active Top Secret security clearance.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Location: Washington D.C.
