Position Overview:
The Hunting Access Technician plays a vital role in facilitating public access to hunting areas while ensuring compliance with established regulations. This position involves collaboration with landowners and the public to promote responsible hunting practices.

Special Information:

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the Hunting Access Enhancement Coordinator in launching the Block Management Program.
- Organize and distribute necessary supplies for both seasonal and full-time personnel.
- Utilize GPS technology for land signage and mapping.
- Engage with landowners to finalize details of block management agreements.
- Place boundary markers and signage, distribute permission slips, and install hunter sign-in boxes in collaboration with landowners.
- Conduct regular meetings with landowners to review block management area regulations during the hunting season.
- Monitor sign-in boxes weekly to assess hunter activity and replenish materials as needed.
- Patrol block management areas to ensure compliance and report violations to enforcement authorities.
- Compile reports on block management activities post-season.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Preference will be given to those with strong interpersonal skills and relevant coursework in wildlife management or related fields. Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Additional Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders including ranchers, farmers, and wildlife professionals.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in interpreting maps and understanding land ownership and usage regulations.
- Valid driver's license and capability to operate a 4x4 vehicle.
