Infectious Diseases Consultant

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing clinical care to patients on the inpatient general Infectious Diseases consultation service at Chester County Hospital. The individual will also have two outpatient clinic sessions per week to focus on the care of patients recently discharged from the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend on the full consult service and provide clinical care to patients
  • Conduct outpatient clinic sessions to focus on the care of patients recently discharged from the hospital
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and developments in Infectious Diseases

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent doctoral degree
  • Over 3 years of experience in Infectious Diseases
  • License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • DEA licensure
  • Board Certified or eligible for certification

Working Conditions

This position is necessary due to significant increases in the numbers of patients requiring inpatient ID consultation at Chester County Hospital. The individual will work in a fast-paced clinical environment and must be able to work effectively in a team.
