Business Banking Sales Representative
Overview
At First Citizens Bank, we pride ourselves on our long-standing history and commitment to our communities. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact and who are eager to contribute to our mission.
As a Business Banking Sales Representative, your role will involve collaborating with business and commercial bankers to promote and sell a range of business deposit products and services. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients for our Treasury Management and Merchant Services offerings, as well as loan products such as credit cards and checkline reserves.
Key Responsibilities
Sales:
- Meet or exceed individual and team financial goals and performance metrics.
- Engage proactively with customers, prospects, and referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
- Represent the bank within the community to foster relationships and identify potential opportunities.
- Utilize sales techniques that create mutual value for both clients and the bank.
Service & Sales Support:
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships that benefit customers and colleagues alike.
- Initiate discussions to uncover sales or referral opportunities.
- Listen actively and ask pertinent questions to understand client needs and preferences.
Operations and Compliance:
Adhere to all relevant regulations, bank policies, and procedures to mitigate risks associated with credit, operations, and legal matters. Your accountability will encompass both individual contributions and team performance.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in sales, financial services, or lending is required. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience will be considered.
Additional Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is necessary, as the position involves frequent travel.
- Compliance with federal registration and annual renewal as mandated by the SAFE Act is required.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of various bank deposit products and associated policies.
- Proven sales, referral, and service skills to effectively promote the bank's offerings and connect clients with appropriate partners.
