Job Summary:

The Equipment Yard Attendant II plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the equipment yard at Western States CAT. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized yard, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees, vendors, and clients by adhering to all applicable safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the day-to-day logistic process and documentation for receiving, staging, and shipping of attachments and equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, including inspecting new and used equipment for damage and fuel levels.
  • Utilize digital data inventory software to report on equipment availability, conditions, and location.
  • Provide training to new yard team members as needed.
  • Steam clean equipment and maintain a clean and organized yard.

Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Minimum of one year operation of heavy equipment required, operating certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of one year inventory and logistics required.
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.

Working Conditions:

The Equipment Yard Attendant II will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and environments. The ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, sit, and lift up to 60 lbs. is required.
