Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for performing system commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system-level controller software loading and basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices.
  • Complete all required commissioning documentation and keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment and complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation and communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training with a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
Requirements
  • Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
  • Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
  • PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
  • Vocational School or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience or five years' experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
