Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the team at Dixie Technical College as an Instructor/Course Coordinator for the Emergency Medical Services program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the success of the program, including planning, organizing, and implementing an effective instructional training program with an emphasis on quality hands-on labs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of local industry and students
  • Supervise and mentor adjunct instructors and students
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as College policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with department director and admissions staff to fill cohorts with qualified students
  • Develop and propose admissions standards to enhance student success
  • Assure safety standards are met and maintained
  • Model a professional environment for students and colleagues
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in industry required, 8+ years' experience preferred
  • Utah licensed as an EMR, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic required
  • Certified EMS Instructor and Course Coordinator, or eligible and willing to obtain certification
  • Instructional experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong knowledge of Google suite
  • Strong communications and presentation skills
