About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations and Strategy to join our team at the Center for Maternal Health Equity. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Center, including strategy development, tracking of deliverables, managing technical assistance projects, and federal reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive program management support, overseeing multiple programs, contracts, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Lead and manage the execution of complex research and development programs, ensuring alignment with the Center's mission and strategic goals.
  • Manage and integrate technology, developing and maintaining a system for organizing and storing projects and documents.
  • Collaborate with the Center's Director on strategic planning, budget development, resource management, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Develop and implement robust program plans and financial tools that facilitate accurate oversight, resource allocation, and adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the accurate tracking of expenditures and manage budget adjustments as necessary.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Center and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and coordination to ensure the successful implementation of programs and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in operations and strategy development.
  • Master's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, natural sciences, public health, healthcare, etc.) preferred.
  • Proven experience in research project management, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Prior experience in community engagement, advocacy, and nonprofit management, with a focus on health equity.
