Position Overview: Unarmed Logistics Security Officer

  • Exhibit professionalism while representing Hammer Head Security and our esteemed retail partners.
  • Ensure a visible presence within and around the facility at all times.
  • Foster a secure environment by implementing safety protocols.
  • Comprehend and enforce all regulations and procedures applicable to customers, vendors, and personnel.
  • Conduct routine patrols and promptly report any suspicious activities.
  • Facilitate effective communication with staff and management to maintain safe traffic flow.
  • Address incidents involving challenging individuals using conflict resolution techniques and escalate to management when necessary.
  • Oversee CCTV monitoring to proactively address areas of concern.
  • Manage and monitor inbound and outbound activities.
  • Conduct temperature checks of commercial trailers and reefers.
Location: Oakland - Port of Oakland

Shifts: Swing and Graveyard - Weekend availability required

Hours: Part-time and Full-time

Required Credentials:

1. Government-issued identification or valid California driver's license.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Valid California BSIS Guard Card.
4. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications:

1. Candidates must be physically capable of performing security duties effectively.
2. Additional qualifications will be discussed during the interview process.
3. Successful completion of a background check and drug/alcohol screening is required.
4. Officers must maintain active licenses and carry them while on duty.
5. Preferably, one year of experience in Logistics/Transportation/Inbound and Outbound Industry.
