Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily dispatch plans to manage truck capacity needs and ensure efficient operations.
  • Work closely with location drivers to ensure they are operating in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Act as a liaison between our customer and the driver to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork, including data entry and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in dispatch or a related field, preferably in the intermodal industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in dispatch and transportation management systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal DOT regulations.
