COVID-19 CONSIDERATIONS

As an essential worker during the COVID-19 pandemic, our Security Officers are required to follow health and safety guidelines established by the CDC. This includes maintaining hygiene, practicing social distancing, and utilizing Personal Protective Equipment provided by Hammer Head Security while on duty.

Position Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Security Officer, your duties will include:

  • Exemplifying professionalism while representing Hammer Head Security and our esteemed clients.
  • Maintaining a strong, visible presence to ensure control over the facility's interior and exterior.
  • Creating and nurturing a secure environment for all.
  • Understanding and enforcing policies and procedures for customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Conducting regular and random patrols, promptly reporting any suspicious activities.
  • Communicating effectively with staff and management to manage foot traffic safely and efficiently.
  • Utilizing conflict resolution skills to de-escalate incidents and involving management when necessary.
  • Monitoring CCTV feeds to identify and address areas of concern proactively.
  • Overseeing the activity of inbound and outbound terminals.
  • Checking temperatures of commercial trailers and reefers.
Location and Shift Details

CURRENT VACANCY LOCATIONS: Various locations

SHIFTS: Swing and Graveyard - Weekends required

HOURS: Full Time

Required Credentials
  • Government-issued ID or valid California driver's license
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid California BSIS Guard Card
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Qualifications
  • Must be in good physical condition to perform the full range of security duties, including moderate to strenuous physical activity.
  • Additional qualifications will be discussed during the interview process. We are an equal opportunity employer.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test is required.
  • Must maintain active status of all required licenses while on duty.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of experience in the Logistics/Transportation sector. Comfort with outdoor work is essential.
