Brennan Center Internship: Advocating for Liberty and Justice

The Brennan Center for Justice is a leading organization in the fight for liberty and justice. As an intern, you will be part of a team that advocates for constitutional values and works to ensure that national security measures are balanced with individual freedoms.
Job DescriptionThis internship offers a unique opportunity to work alongside staff members on policy advocacy, research, and litigation initiatives. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting legal research and analysis;
- Drafting policy reports and advocacy documents;
- Assisting with legislative drafting and advocacy;
- Attending coalition meetings and events;
You will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, including amicus briefs, policy reports, and other advocacy documents. Our interns are integral to all aspects of our work, from programmatic planning to strategic decision-making.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should have excellent legal research and writing skills, as well as initiative, imagination, and versatility. A passion for liberty and justice is essential.
BenefitsWe offer a stipend to support students who are unable to secure funding from their law school or elsewhere. The stipend amount varies based on class year and available funding.
