Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

UHealth Tower is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Neurology and Neuro-Oncology team. As an APRN, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver medical care to a wide variety of patients, including those with neuro-oncological diseases and cancer with neurological complications.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to examine and treat patients, ensure proper illness and injury care, and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding disease processes, treatment options, treatment outcomes, possible complications, medications, discharge planning, and lifestyle modification.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement a plan of care, identify expected outcomes, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories, and order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient age-specific needs.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid State of Florida APRN License.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, with proven experience in Oncology or Neuro Oncology highly recommended.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions, complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail, and analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
