Job Title: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

UHealth Tower is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Child Protection Team. As an APRN, you will play a critical role in the evaluation and documentation of alleged child maltreatment, clinical pediatric nursing, healthcare management, coordination of services, public speaking, trainings, and utilization of community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical evaluations of children referred with allegations of child maltreatment, including triage, initial assessments, review of medical histories, and follow-up on hospitalized cases.
  • Obtain comprehensive health histories, including pertinent medical and psychosocial aspects, and perform complete physical exams, including sexual abuse examinations when required.
  • Assist in the coordination of the multiplicity of services required in the evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic referrals for abused or neglected children.
  • Document pertinent data and maintain up-to-date medical records on clients in accordance with agency policy and funding mandates/contractual standards.
  • Remain current on child maltreatment literature, policies, and procedures related to abused children, including Florida Statutes, VOCA guidelines, and DOH CPT Handbook.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid State of Florida APRN License.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
