Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Domestic Letter of Credit Specialist to join our team at Truist Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing complex international transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and document import and export letters of credit, including examination and processing of documents.
  • Issue letters of credit and manage incoming and outgoing payments and wire transfers.
  • Assist with the day-to-day processing of domestic letter of credit operations, including handling client transactions and ensuring adherence to banking regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to questions and resolving problems in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the L/C specialist and assume a leadership position for the production team in the absence of the Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent education and related training.
  • Five years of experience in domestic operations, with a strong working knowledge of international products, including boycott regulations, OFAC, BSA, KYC, and EDD.
  • Ability to work independently, be well organized, self-motivated, and accept multiple task responsibilities while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills to independently research and resolve problems, with excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Hands-on customer service experience in a financial services environment, with demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Strong communication skills, including reading, writing, and comprehension skills, with the ability to follow bank policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of various banking systems, including money transfer, Demand Deposit Account (DDA), and SWIFT.
  • Strong knowledge of the GTSNet Trade Application.
