Position Overview
We are looking for a BankCards Operations Representative to join our dynamic team. This role will report directly to the Vice President of BankCards and will be based in our Madison, WI office. The BankCards department focuses on providing exceptional service in four key areas: credit cards, merchant services, gift cards, and debit cards.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls and correspondence via email and mail.
- Provide a warm welcome to customers, ensuring all interactions are conducted with professionalism and courtesy.
- Document customer interactions accurately in our recordkeeping systems, demonstrating strong data entry skills.
- Fulfill customer requests efficiently and maintain consistent follow-up.
- Engage proactively with customers to understand their needs and provide timely solutions.
- Develop and nurture relationships with customers and team members.
- Offer strategic recommendations in a collaborative manner and maintain proper documentation of discussions.
- Participate in virtual or onsite visits for training and implementation purposes.
Project Management
- Complete assigned projects and provide regular status updates to the team.
Administrative Duties
- Collaborate with department leadership to keep product knowledge, compliance, and procedures up to date.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and via email. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in computer systems are essential. Experience in the credit/debit card or merchant services sectors is preferred but not mandatory. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an Associate degree in a business-related field being advantageous.
