Database Management Specialist-Level


LinTech Global is seeking a skilled Database Management Specialist to provide support to the IRSCI client with Business Solutions Development (BSD).

BSD requires experienced solution architects, data managers, Extract, Transfer, Load (ETL) programming, data science, and analytic resources to transform and modernize CI data management and analytic solutions.

Focus on developing and implementing data management strategies and policies to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.

Create and maintain databases, data dictionaries, and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Responsibilities and Skills:


Provide analysis and recommendations, oversee implementation, and support the current data warehouse operation while modernizing it to include a full transition to the new service.

Develop architectural diagrams, conduct data and performance analyses, and provide written technical documentation to describe the potential, current, or future state of CI Data Warehouse operations.

Support the establishment of technical prototypes, proofs-of-concept, and limited operational pilots to assess candidate technologies and solutions for Data Warehouse Modernization.

Provide engineering services for Data Warehouse systems, networks, cloud, virtualization, security, workstations, applications, and other IT-related components, and provide solution engineering support to resolve technical issues facing the CI Data Warehouse.

Modernize data management workflows that collect, maintain, and provide data that supports the CI Mission.

Data Modeling and Architecture:


The ability to design robust database schemas and optimize data organization and retrieval within SQL Server is crucial for this task.

Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) Processes with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS):


Proficiency in using SSIS for sophisticated ETL operations is necessary to ensure accurate data transformation and loading.

Advanced Query Optimization:


Implementing SQL Server's advanced query optimization techniques is important to expedite data retrieval and improve performance.

Data Warehouse Administration:


Expertly managing SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and effective scaling of resources is a key skill required for this task.

Anomaly Detection and Machine Learning:


Experience in preparing data for use in anomaly detection and machine learning algorithms, including SQL Server's data analytics capabilities, is essential for implementing advanced analytics in the data warehouse.

Leverage database systems including data warehouses, data marts, and models needed for business, financial, and operational analysis and/or reporting.

Perform data analysis which supports and enhances CI information management systems and services.

Experience with one or more data technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, etc.) and a willingness to learn how to leverage these technologies to improve business intelligence.

Develop reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration, and visual analytics using existing and emerging technologies and tools.

Provide insight and recommendations on new and emerging technologies and concepts to CI team members.

Eager to contribute to a team-oriented environment.

Able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in CI environment is a plus.

Other Requirements:


Master's with at least 4 years specialized experience or B.A or B.S with at least 6 years specialized experience in related technology.

Experienced in topics such as complex networks, cloud technologies, cross-platform integration, and large-scale, complex systems design and implementation.
