Job Title: Contract Specialist III

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist III to join our team. As a Contract Specialist III, you will be responsible for supporting acquisition activities for Air Force Special Access Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Contracting Officer in planning and managing acquisitions for a variety of products and services.
  • Lead cradle-to-grave contract activities, including conducting market research, preparing solicitation documentation, reviewing proposals for compliance, performing cost/price evaluations, and assisting with negotiating positions.
  • Participate in program reviews to assess the alignment of activities with acquisition strategy and program plan and determine the feasibility of execution within the defined program baselines.
  • Develop acquisition strategies, including determination of contract method/type, and perform contract administration, including maintaining contract file folders and preparing contract modifications.
  • Work with the Contracting Officer in the oversight of contract performance and identify and mitigate risks, including assessing cost, schedule, and performance impacts and burn-down plans.
  • Communicate project status and issues and develop acquisition and policy recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Master of Arts/Master of Science/Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than 2+ years of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment, with at least 1 year of that total being within the past 5 years.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
