Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for industrial automation equipment. Your expertise in PLC programming, servo and stepper systems, and motion-controlled systems will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for industrial automation equipment, including PLC programs and servo and stepper systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing control systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement good change control practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in control systems and automation equipment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering and automation equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, servo and stepper systems, and motion-controlled systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Work Environment:

This is a fully on-site position in Ringgold, Virginia. Our engineering team is around 10-15 people, and we offer a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
